Remedial Massage
Is used to treat knotted, tense or damaged muscle. It provides a healing treatment that can be gentle or strong. Remedial massage holistically treats the body using several specific techniques. The therapist may perform a postural analysis to help identify and address any biomechanical dysfunctions that may contribute to the clients ailments.
Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage provides a deep relaxation that allows your mind and body to recharge and rejuvenate. The massage is performed using a combination of flowing strokes, music and essential oil to enhance your experience.
Sports Massage
Sports massage enables an athlete to prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. The therapist uses specific massage, trigger point therapy and stretching techniques emphasizing on prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons.
Types of Sports Massages
- Pre-event
- - A short, stimulating massage 15 - 45 minutes before the event. It is directed toward the parts of the body that will be involved in the exertion.
- Post-event
- - Given within an hour or two of the event, to normalize the body's tissues.
- Restorative
- - Given during training to allow the athlete to train harder and with less injury.
- Rehabilitative
- - Aimed at alleviating pain due to injury and returning the body to health.
