  • The “learn to run” module is a basic introduction to implementing a running based training program.
    There are many reasons why people feel they cannot or do not want to run, including:
    Injury and repeat of existing injuries
    Do not know where to begin
    Boredom , Lack of Motivation and accurate goal setting
    At Powerfitness, we can assist with all of this, and over the following 5 week course we will ; A consultation about a goal , which will include the design of your program and expected outcomes
    A postural screening assessment including possible allied health services Biomechanical analysis and feedback
    A medical assessment form /p>

  • What will you need to bring?

  • You will need to wear something that is comfortable to run freely in, with a preference toward shorts for increased feedback. Powerfitness will provide water and towels for you. Your choice of footwear is very important to running , and we can provide guidance to complement your running program.

  • What this module contains
  • Week 1

  • Consultation and Orientation / Postural Screening / Goal Setting /2 x Training Sessions / Program Design / 2 x Practice Sessions/ Resistance Training / Core Stability for Running program/ Suggested Allied Health service at request of Trainer ( not included)

  • Week 2

  • 1 x Training Session / up to 3 x Practice Sessions including running and resistance/ core stability

  • Week 3

  • 2 x Training Sessions / 1 x Introductory Massage 30 mins / Unlimited Practice Sessions

  • Week 4

  • 1 x Training Session with focus on Program goals / unlimited practice sessions
